Happy Diwali to all from NSO Health and Fitness, IIT Kharagpur team! While preparation of our traditional "Illumination" and "Rangoli" celebration in the evening went on, for which IIT Kharagpur is known, we did not forget that we had to do good to ourselves by keeping us healthy and fit!
A new Physical Training Instructor from Gymkhana, IIT Kharagpur, Mr. Adrip Mitra, conducted the session. He is B.A., M.A., M.Phil. in physical education and is currently pursuing PhD. The introduction brought out a 'WOW' from all of us. He was being guided by senior instructor Mr. Gyan Swarup.
At the end of the session, one student member of our team, Mr. Chandra Sekhar Meena who participated in prestigious Beighton Cup Hockey and earned accolades, shared few words with all present. He was little shy to address a large gathering of fellow students, but to Hindustan Times correspondent (31st Oct., Kolkata edition) he was eloquent and explained how sports provides a great bonding opportunity.
This day also saw one of our unit taking up campus-cleaning drive as special activity. Photos of the session appear below.
