We are spoilt creatures and we have been accustomed to getting what we want and getting it right now. There are very few things in our modern world that we actually have to wait a long time for.. and if you have enough money you can usually pay not to wait.
But there are a few things that your credit card will never be able to purchase and one of those things is your body….and Ryan Gosling (but ill settle for a good google image search of him)
Yes you can alter it through plastic surgery, but in reality that Miranda Kerr physique you want will never be achieved through a supplement or iphone app and those Ryan Gosling arms cant be obtained through an eBay rampage .
In reality the physique you want takes time, dedication and hard work to achieve.
Here are some not so secret, secrets that are the key to long term fat loss success.
The more you change, the more that will change.- The more drastic your approach, the more drastic the change. If you start exercising like a mad woman or dive head first into Paleo you'll get results faster then you will if you make small changes..
It will take time- longer then you think. It has taken you (insert age here) to get the body you’ve currently got, so don’t expect to change it in 4 weeks. Fat loss takes time especially if you are already lean. If you have a lot of fat to shift you’ll find change happens much faster. When I wanted to see my abs I thought I could do it in 8 weeks and oh how wrong I was, 6 months later and a hell of a lot of sacrifice I still wasn’t even close.
What works for someone, may not work for you. We are all different, not one cookie cutter plan will work for everyone, try new things, join a sporting club, try adult gymnastics, go to cross fit, join a running club, go to boxing... vary your workouts till you find what you enjoy and what works for you.
If you want to keep that physique you need to maintain that behavior for the rest of your life. Im about to get all Dr Phil up in your grill- If you are one of those people who has tried 'every diet under the sun', then stop "dieting", you need to make this a lifestyle. If you cannot see yourself replacing a meal with a shake for the rest of your life- then you are setting yourself up to fail. Choose foods and exercises that you enjoy, and that you can continue to use in the long term.
A great athletic, strong and fit physique is built on a solid foundation of contestant behaviors that are maintained in the long term. If you really want to change your body you need to understand its going to take time, but you know what? It’s absolutely worth it. #truthbomb
