What is the Crossfit Open?
The Crossfit Open is a worldwide fitness competition that allows you to compete in five different workouts against athletes from all over the world. Every week a new workout is posted, and everyone registered does the exact same workout. From beginner to seasoned Crossfitter, this competition is for everyone regardless of age or ability. Not to mention it's a ton of fun - so even if you've only been with Inferno for a few weeks, come give it a try!
Why should I sign up?
To challenge yourself physically, and to be a part of a really, REALLY fun team!
How will it work?
Every Saturday beginning on March 9, we'll meet at Badlands Underground Crossfit in Medicine Hat at 10 am (time to be determined for sure) to WOD together. You upload your score to the Crossfit Games website, then over the week you see how you stack up against other competitors (and become increasingly addicted to the thrill of competition!)
How much does it cost?
The sign up on the Games website (see below) is $20, and every time you drop in to Badlands Underground there is a $10 drop in fee (well worth it for the fantastic coaching.) Think of it this way - it costs about $75 to register for a half marathon - this will be about $70 over 5 weeks for 5 amazing workouts.

Check out http://games.crossfit.com/ and click 'Compete Here' to sign up. Make sure to register under the Badlands Crossfit affiliate (unless you want to record yourself doing the workouts and upload them for online judging, which is another option.)
Read about this guy... he's been Crossfitting for 3 months. Here's why he's competing in the Open.
