Before I delve into my topic of the day I thought that I'd have a little breakfast. I was in a little bit of pickle when I was trying to figure out how to prepare my egg whites this morning since I didn't want an omelet so I decided on an egg puff! It's been a long time since I've had an egg puff but I decided to eat one today :)
3 tablespoons egg whites
Spritz of nonstick spray
1 minute microwave
This yummy, puffy, egg-y concoction found some turkey bacon and then invited toast to the party and turned into this....
Oatnut bread with just a little bit of spreadable butter and I had an egg puff sandwich! My sandwich seemed a little be lonely so I decided to have some fruit with it :)
I, of course, had to have gallons of coffee to wash this all down :)
Now onto the topic of the day... Weight Watchers is a great organization that helps a lot of women lose a lot of weight but... it's not necessarily all about eating clean. I first started Weight Watchers my senior of high school and that was before they created the new plan that is more eat clean friendly. Fruits and vegetables no longer count as points which really helps one eat clean a lot easier. The real problem is when you want to eat filling, healthy foods because they count as a lot of points. Oatmeal, Greek yogurt, granola, nuts, and avocado really add up. Weight Watchers sells a lot of snacks and treats that are low in points but high in preservatives whereas clean (non-fruit snacks) have no preservatives but count as a lot of points. Back in the day when I was first doing Weight Watchers it was more important to me to get my sugar fix and eat "unclean" low point foods but since I'm using my diet to help control my migraine problem I've been focusing on not eating any preservatives. All I can say is thank god fruit and veggies don't count as points because I am a FRUIT ADDICT!
Now I must return to studying... :)
